Got word Friday that I passed my CISSP. This was the new test. I guess they refresh the questions every few months and I got one.

Seems all the testing questions I found were outdated, including the cccure.org and shaun harris's new book.

The concepts are there, so I was able to understand the meaning of each question.

The same thing happened to me when I took the test.   I had the Shon Harris book, Transcender tests, cccure.org site, and I had created about 100 flash cards.   All of it proved to be quite useless.    I found it interesting how certain concepts were hammered in the literature and were absent on the test.   I have to say, props to ISC2 for keeping the test more challenging.

Congrats and welcome to the club.

With the CISSP is it all about the concepts.  While the questions will assist you in being able to recall the facts, it is more about the concepts and how they all relate.

Now, get to work on your endorsement and CPEs!

just sat for the CISSP today... how long did it take you guys to receive your exam results?  I read up to two weeks but others have mentioned it took them a lot longer.

It took exactly ten days for my results to arrive. Good luck to you.

They were running behind when I took it.  I think that I waited for about 3-4 weeks.

Congrats on the pass!   Bask in the glow of not having to study for a test any longer, but studying for the job at hand!    Well done.

Thanks for the feedback !

I am planning to go for the exam this year... I am doing self studying for the moment... but trying to find time to read the never-ending Shon Harris book is not an easy task ;-)
