i'm rather new to the whole Ethical Hacking thing, and i was wondering if any1 on here could point me to a good book or site to get started, i'm planning on going to college for Computer Forensics and i've looked into buying a few books that will be listed below to get myself started. if you have any other suggestions i'd greatly appreciate it.

You might want to check out the Ethical Hacking Forum instead of Forensics. There are three pinned threads in there with good explanations. Not trying to blow you off, but smarter people than I have added to those threads to help out interested parties.

wow i feel kinda dumb now lol, but i'm also getting into the forensics as well, i plan on majoring in Computer Forensics. one of my classes is gonna be called ethical hacking

Ha, no worries. Which university has a major in computer forensics?

Pittsburgh Technical Institute has an information technology major and if u keep a 3.2 GPA for your first year you can major in computer forensics for your sencond year. the gental man i talked to about it said out of the 110 students they had last year 108 of them had jobs within 6 months and the other 2 were waiting for criminal background checks from the CIA. so i'm pretty sure it's a good school lol
