Jay Beale (creator of bastille linux) will be releasing "the middler" after his talk at shmoocon.

Many of you remember he announced that he was releasing it at defcon 16 but the tool was barely at an alpha stage, he has now completed it.

Yes, been looking forward to this as well. Unfortunately I was unable to attend Shmoocon (so not sure if there was a revised handout than from defcon) but.

1. I tried running both on osx and win/xp (not linux yet). Tried both python 3.0 and activepython 2.6.1. When trying to run both middler.py from the code subdir, I get syntaxerror keyword argument repeated on line 889, help="URL to inject",dest="ur;default="". If I try to actually rebuild it from the setup.py I get an error "package directory "middler\plugins\support" does not exist.

So, any luck? Do you need to build it or just run and which os and version of python are you using? Which middler.py (there are several in the lib structure). I know its an alpha release but no bugtraq to search on this.
