I voted for both with CEH first, because I feel that CEH is more widely known and a good place to start. I also feel that CPTS has more updated material and may eventually become a higher level cert in this field. Studying for CEH first will help us pass the possibly more difficult CPTS and eventually CPTE exams.

I voted for the same choice, for almost the exact same reasons, except that the CEH just gives you a foundation into the technology, which then leads into the harder (if that's possible) certifications; CPTE, CPTS, CIPP, GIAC, CWNA, etc.....
