Hack-able Boot-able CD?

Is there anything like a bottable CD, that you can ether install or boot to practice hacking?
Like a windows disk that has problems wrong with it that you can exploit and then fix? That would be so great.
Any other practice hacking advice?

If it's bootable CDs you're looking for, then Linux is your only option. There's always things like BartPE or other ways to boot to a Windows environment, but probably not what you want in a pen testing lab. VMware has some images that include versions of Windows, but with licensing issues, they're not unlimited.
Chan's suggestion is a good one.
Brian also makes a good point. Install Windows with no patches especially SP1, and it should be ready to hack immediately after install.
