When asked direct questions about the activity that said command would take part in, he definitely put the emphasis on defense and skirted around addressing offensive capabilities. It sounded to me like there would be an offensive component, but he wasn't going to talk about it. Any kind of offense in that direction would require some changing (or at least serious reinterpretation) of the rules.

then he is full of crap because there is already a "cyber" wing of the AF.

oh well, maybe they'll be hiring soon.  still going to be in Louisiana though? blah.

The HQ, for now, is at Barksdale, there will be two groups at Lackland, and there are two more still up for grabs. He said that they will eventually have folks in every state as they would have a strong national guard presence.

You know what they say, "The best deffense is a good offense." If the Chinese can attack our networks, I don't see why we can't hit them back...

Any way you slice it, it's going to be a mess when countries start openly fighting this way.

Yeah. I heard a good one form a friend of mine that the AF network had recently been attacked. No, I don't know who was responsible, but we can all take a guess.

Seems like that's a fairly regular thing anymore.
