Matshita drive problems
«

I had a problem with my matshita dvd burner in my dell xp m1530 after installing vista sp1 (along with an insanely long startup time). it seems that many people have this proplem. i have posted some registry entries that will make it work again (please make a system restore point in case it damages the registry). download the registry entry and merge it into your system by double-clicking it. then reboot and your drive should work.
ps i do not know if this works with xp

it is not vista dude, it is the entire worthless matshita line. if you want to really know what they are worth, highlight the second to last four-letter combination in the name matshita.

Jason,
It's well documented through several other posts by iSmith that there is nothing wrong with Vista
I have a feeling that I may have just started some trouble

For the last time, IT IS NOT VISTA! Vista i actually very much better in terms of certain things (UI, windows sidebar, windows memory diagnostic....). So stop bashing vista!!

Dude if you even know anything about computers, you would know that no OS is secure.

I never claim to know anything about computers. It's like admitting that you own a pickup truck.
