After formatting pc last night i went for metasploit 3 download and it was good,but when I tried to open the metasploit gui or web none is working..!!Even console is not opening either..!!

so please tell me what is the problem actually all about as you know these tool means a lot to me,not only me I think..!!

We need more details to help you, it would help us if you can provide what platform you are using. Metaspolit 3 requires pyton and ruby libraries before you install it. Maybe you are missing those.

I am using xp,and I have downloaded the metasploit direct from the website,last time also I did the same,so then why is this problem occuring when last time was fine..!!

Take a deep breath and slow down. Check the install logs and see if there was a problem with that. You might also want to check the event logs in XP to see if it has anything. If you don't find anything there, check your AV. I have Symantec here at work and I know that it doesn't like several tools that we use like Cain and Metasploit. However, they work just fine from my house with AVG. And if that isn't it, check what vijay2 said about python and ruby. Good luck.
