The first thing you should do is learn how to use a 'site search' ....

Link 1

Link 2

Link 3

And there are many others depending on  your search term(s).

I took the class well over a year ago. I just passed my test today (92%!). Honestly, I'm not sure if the class played a role at all in my passing the test (although I enjoyed it).

What I did was use the Exam Cram book, the official CEH study guide, and poured through the Test King tests. I think the Test King tests were pretty much right on in terms of the questions being asked.

When I got stuffs wrong I would make sure to research exactly why I got it wrong and truly understand why the right answer is the right answer. This is especially important with the Test King tests because, despite the extremely valuable part those test played in my passing, some of the answers are wrong. (Which IMO is 'ok' because I had really to know the right answers on my own instead of just from the test).

There's no easy answer other than to study like crazy, play with the tools and really understand what's happening. The test itself doesn't go very deep in my opinion, but just because of the sheer volume of stuff you have to know, your forced to do a lot of studying.

That's my $0.02.

If you are taking the v5 class, then you should take the v5 exam.

What more info are you looking for that we could help clear the confusion on?

You can purchase the courseware from here or check with EC-Council for a local distributor.
