Hi All,

Doues anyone know of a supplier (Ideally in the UK) that would supply a hardware random number generator. Some kind of approval would be useful, CAPS ideally. A high throughput would be a huge plus, too.

I guess this is quite a long shot - anyone?

TIA!

Keeping the thread alive - someone must know of a device, surely?

Doesn't /have/ to be a UK supplier, doesn't /have/ to be CAPS approved!

Any fast hardware RNGs out there?

Not sure what kind of hardware you are looking for specifically. Something like this?

Hi Kev, thanks for the link.
I have seen the protego site before but not that device. Unfortunately, the ouput is waaaay too slow. I have seen a 16Mbit generator that retails for just shy of 1,000usd but even 16Mbit would be pushing the limits of acceptability.
It looks like I'm going to have to find a random source that runs faster than 1GHz and build a circuit around that. Ideas for a source, anyone?
