I just read a Blog post from FX @ Recurity Labs. He talked about wanting to recycle his old fax thermo transfer ribbon but after inspecting it noticed that it was basically a negative of all faxes he received since the ribbon had been installed.

So my question to you is:

Do you toss out, recycle, or destroy your old fax ribbons? (if you have an older fax)

Toss it out.

Once it goes into my dumpster, I don't worry about it.  If someone goes through my trash and finds my old scanner, they probably already have enough incriminating material about me to make my life interesting.  An old scanner ribbon wouldn't make any difference in my case.  I never know what my wife will throw out without shredding!
