**This is a Direct Hire position**
Rate: Salary Range: $47,600 - $75,000

Hands-on technical experience with vulnerability and penetration testing; including the use of open source penetration security tools such as Nessus, content filtering, email filtering, IDS/IPS, routers, switches, VPN, Firewalls, Wireless Technologies, Encryption Products, Application Security, Configuration Management, Incident Response, Cryptography, Digital Forensics, etc.


*Network background preferred

Responsibilities:
*Managing and administering various aspects of the application and network security infrastructure: configuration and tuning recommendations, monitoring and management of internal/external network security components, servers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) appliances and software
*Perform internal/external security testing
*Performs oversight of proposed changes to network infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
*Develop appropriate security related policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, benchmarks/metrics and/or processes
*Develop and implement an incident reporting system
*Develop network security specific awareness training
*Assist in setting corporate information security policies.
*Develop and incorporate various aspects of ISO 17799
*Provide subject matter expertise within Access Control Systems and Methodology, Cryptography, Operations Security, Security Architecture and Models, Network, Application and Internet Security.
*Perform monitoring and management of network security components, servers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) appliances and software.
*Provide oversight and project management for new Information System security initiatives.
*Primary liaison with 3rd party vendors and external auditors


EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related academic area
*Knowledge of security auditing processes and techniques, and understanding of ISO 27001, ISO 17799 and regulatory compliance is required.
*Windows Server 2000 and 2003 and Microsoft SQL management practices preferred.
