I'm looking at getting a nokia n770 or n800 to start playing with. Wasn't sure which one to get, i've heard mixed reviews. Some saying that kismet doesnt work with the n800 some say it does.  Also various other things not working with the 800, but then saying the metasploit doesnt work with the 770.  Any takes?

I have an N800 but I use it for a MP3/Video toy. I also have an Nokia E61i phone I use with the N800 to have Internet anywhere. It's a nice toy but hacking from such a small device would prove to strain your eyes. Anyway I would highly recomend the N800 over the N810 since the N800 can support Two full size SD cards up 16Gig in size each. It's like a 32gig touch screen tablet but a lot smaller. I also use it as a VoIP Cell phone to call all over the world. Anyway it's nice but it is also a little slow so do not expect a 2Ghz PC.

I got the N800 after looking at spending $250 or less on a toy and I decided on the N800 over the EEEPC.

I just bought a  used Nokia 770 online. Lower price is the main reason i went for 770. A friend of mine had it. He used it just for occasional browsing and internet radio. I think he also loaded the Gizmo SIP client on it. He said the performance was kind of slow. But come on, it's not a laptop computer. I'm kind of excited loading Kismet on it and seeing how it works.

That sounds like a nice phone/toy.

I'm still torn between the 800 and the 810, primarily due to the keyboard. I'm assuming that the 800 has some sort of on-screen keyboard, is it annoying?
