Hello

I need recommendation to buy a new WiFi with Atheros Chip, because my new laptop only have MiniPCI-E and ExpressCard my old D-Link Cardbus with Atheros Chip is useless in that laptop and I need to buy a new one to use it with Backtrap and do a presentation to my new Boss that our Wireless Network is vulnerable to WEP Attack and someone from the outside can hack into our network. (Boss only believes in facts.)

Any recommendation of which USB or ExpressCard you recommend that works with Backtrap.

Hi,
I don't really think a live demo is the best way of highlighting the risks of using WEP. An executive summary of the flaws in WEP, complete with references and links to your sources, ought to be sufficient. It's not as fun as doing a live demo but report writing is an important art and one worth mastering.

If the report doesn't sway your boss I'd suggest he's not all that keen on facts  after all Wink

Already done that, I know what your mean but right now I just want a ExpressCard with Atheros Chip compatible with Backtrap because everything that I found don’t have Linux Support only XP and Vista Compatible and that not good for me.

It looks like omegasystem is looking for a MiniPCI-E and ExpressCard and not a regular pcmcia card.

http://ubnt.com/products_sr2.php4 - should be what you're looking for.

Atheros AR5213 MAC/BB
Atheros AR2112 ROC

or

http://ubnt.com/products_srx.php4 - express card - I'm getting mine for my powerbook soon.

Atheros 5006

the hardware compatibility lists for BT.

Dean, do you know if mad-wifi works for Atheros express cards as well as PCMCIA?
