ok, i've been googling and googling and not finding a good answer so i'll ask Brian....

in Linux, how can i take an internal wireless card out of monitor mode without a reboot?

i can get it into monitor mode with iwconfig but when i do that the ath0 interface disappears until i reboot.  any wireless gurus got any hints?

Chris,

assuming you have the madwifi drivers (looking at ath0) use wlanconfig.
