Below is the announcement by ElementK, the courseware provider for EC-Council and many other certification organizations:

Quote
Element K® is the exclusive distributor of EC-Council’s renowned security training courseware: Computer Hacking Forensic InvestigatorTM (CHFI) is the next certification or course for a student to complete after they become a Certified Ethical HackerTM.

This is the only program in North America that prepares a student to take the CHFI exam and to be certified as a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator. Securing and analyzing electronic evidence is a central theme in an ever-increasing number of conflict situations and criminal cases. Electronic evidence is critical in the following situations:

• Disloyal employees
• Computer break-ins
• Possession of pornography
• Breach of contract
• Industrial espionage
• E-mail Fraud
• Bankruptcy
• Disputed dismissals
• Web page defacements
• Theft of company documents

Examine your database to uncover which prospects work for company’s that have sensitive information. CEH students that want to be certified as a Licensed Penetrated Technician (LPT) will need to take this course. Computer forensics enables the systematic and careful identification of evidence in computer related crime and abuse cases. The new kit includes a CHFI t-shirt, book bag, textbooks, lab guide, and CD’s with tools.

Part #   Description
ECCHFI30PB   CHFIv3 Book Bundle (Includes: Text book, Lab Book, CD's, T-Shirt and  Book Bag)
ECCHFI30PBV   CHFIv3 Exam Bundle (Includes: Text book, Lab Book, CD's, T-Shirt, Book Bag & Exam Voucher)

For more information regarding these CHFI titles, please contact your dedicated Element K Account Manager at 1-800-456-4677.

Sweet Smiley

Maybe Elsevier/Syngress will finally release that book too.. although they may have to re-write some or most of it to cover the new material...

I did check with EC-Council.. they'll soon be offering this kit on their website as well. I was told the direct price through them will only be $200.
