Johnny Long!!!!!

Dont know who he is, then try googling him.

Once you've found Jonnys' site, look for "The Google Hacker's Guide" under Downloads>Blackpapers. It won't help you directly with the CEH exam, but it'll help your online life and give you some perspective of how you can manipulate a tool to do what you want and get the most out of it.

You totally rock, dude!

Keep us posted on yur CHFI progress. Share with us what you're doing in class, what version of the courseware/exam is it, what kinds of labs are they having you do, are they strictly following EC-Council/ElementK's course or are they offering more...

Congrats! Great feeling isn't it? I don't know about yours, but when I got done with my test, the screen paused for a couple of seconds before it popped up and said "Congratulations." Those few seconds were pretty scary, but wow did I feel good when it was over. Great job and keep us posted on the CHFI! Smiley

Thanks everyone! We just went out and had a few drinks. I feel bad for those who did not pass. All this work paid off for me.

As far as the test went I can post what we did. If I need to re post this in another part of the site I can.

We have a member of the EC-Council as our teacher. Actually this is the guy who wrote all 5 CEHv5 books. YES, we did go over every book (each book had about 3k pages, the lab book was like 800).  Buffer Overflow = my brain just before the test!We did 80% lab and 20% theory.

The CHFI we are going to do in 1 1/2 days! There are two book and its a new version! He said that v2 has just came out and is more difficult but has more legal questions on the test then anything else.

That is all I know right now when I pass/fail the next one I will let you know.

If you want to know in more detail about the CEH exam just let me know and I will be more then happy to share.

Hmm, interesting. Out of curiosity, who is the instructor for the courses? 1 1/2 days may seem short, but if the instructor is good, you'll be prepared. Our ECSA/LPT class lasted a little less than that and I'm pretty sure we had a fairly high pass rate.

His name is Haja. He is an awesome instructor. He uses real world experience and lots of labs. However, I do not see many labs with the CHFI exam. From the book that I looked over last night it seems like the bar exam.  It should still be a good exam.

Hello to all, this is my first post. I was in the same class as Nixxon. I'll let you know before he does,  Grin that he passed the CHFI as well.

We rock!! hehe

Anyways, I have to tell you how thoroughly impressed with Haja I was. That man is a eTH hax0r through and through. It was such a joy to get a fraction of his expertise.

The class over all was awesome, great experience. I HIGHLY recommend Todd Lammle's company GlobalNet training in Plano, TX.

So far what I see here at your forum is great. i look forward to adding to it and taking some great info with me as well. Thanks!

(shoutout to Nixxon! hope you made it back home safe and sound!)

Hey All,

Long time no post!

Ask Hitch said I passed (as did he).  That class was the best choice I ever made as far as certs go. I would def go back again. Now I am looking to get my lpt cert. Its going to be  a hard test but I know I will do fine. Thanks for all the support guys and I am going to start posting and answering in other topics.
