Welcome to EH-Net and good luck on your test Smiley

A good, quick cert? Perhaps a CompTIA cert. or GIAC since you've got the experience.

Welcome to EH-Net. As you can see, we have a very responsive community.

I would ask what your goals are? Do you want to be a security tech, in the management chair, a networking guy? Cause there's advanced hacking certs like ECSA, CEPT, CPTE & OSCP, Sec Managament in CISSP, and the king of networking certs - Cisco.

But your career plans will dictate where you go.

Hope this helps,
Don

i decided while i do the CEH to also read at home for the LPI2 (i have two months for CEH preparation; that means two months for LPI2.01 and two for LPI2.02).

that is aint gonna be easy but what the heck i love linux/unix and i am gonna have some right FUN FUN FUN lol :O)

next thing to do? hmmm

i have in mind to do the CHFI (computer hacking forensic investigator) and i have already plan a unix administration through the oreilly webpage (they give a cert from the michigan uni i think cant recall now)

also i concider about certification from cisco but dont know much about it yet.

in the far horizon i want to work for a state agency 1st)
or work in a university 2nd)

A simple, but useful, tip for taking exams, is to plan out your study time.
It helps make sure that you can get ahead of any reading and practicals, rather than cramming at the last minute.

As to where you'd like to work in the future, either check out their web sites or give them a call and see what skills you need to get a role there.
It'll help to understand the experience and background they be looking for and give you some targets to work towards.
