Hey All,

I just added a feature to the site search results using the search box at the top of the the site next to the tabs. It now has the ability to search not only the main site but also the forums. I'm pretty happy about that.

The Forums have their own separate search features that handle only forum content, but it has more advanced search capabilities than the overall site search does. So the question is:

Should we keep the Forum Search Box (and thus keep both) or delete it in favor of the new site search?

Thanks for your feedback,
Don

My first thought was to keep both.

Yeah, I'd probably agree with that and just keep both.

Thanks.

BTW - Which one do you use? Do you use the search features at all?

I've used the forum search feature a couple times.

Yes, I do use the search feature, especially the forum one. Very handy indeed.

Can those who replied do me a quick favor? Try using the site search for something you're looking to find in the forums. Let me know if it's meeting your needs. If not, I'll keep them both. I'm sure you can understand, I'm trying to make it seem more like one big happy family instead of separate apps.

Thanks,
Don

Works for me. Probably needs some tweaking on the algorithm but I'm happy with my search results.
