This might sound funny, but I really have no clue...

I'm registered for the Techno Security Conference [link] in June and I'll be taking a class there. This will be my first security conference. The only other thing I've attended in the past has been the Detroit ITEC (which is somewhat boring). In addition to the classes, I see that there are a bunch of speakers giving presentations. I've looked around their website and such, but I don't see any information as to how you listen in on those presentations. Do they normally cost anything extra? Do you sign up at the conference or do you just walk on in at the designated time?

Thanks experienced conference attendees Wink

On the first day of the conference you should arrive a little early.  You are going to have to go through a manual or automated sign in process.  There you will be given your credentials and a schedule of sessions, classes, and vendor expos.  Most conferences do not make you sign up for specific events that are open to all attendees.  Generally there is room for all comers.

Good luck and have fun,
