Hey Don,

Since you met him and all, I have a question for you concerning his name (Leinad Zeraus). Is that his real name or is it Daniel Suarez?

I was researching about the author and found a review about the book where someone commented that if you rearrange his name from right to left you end up... well, with the name mentioned above.

Hmmm... interesting.

BTW, I'm currently reading the novel and it's great and highly recommended.

I met him and know of him by the name Leinad Zeraus... Kinda of cool how the name looks reversed.

I finished the book a month ago but have just now been able to get around to log on to the site. As some of you know I am training for deployment. The book was rather good up until the end. I hate when they cop out like that. I did like the rest of the book and have to admit that I would by a sequel if it were to come out. One of the first books that I can honestly say I was not sure of what was coming next. Did not expect a few things that happened. Not just another generic book.

Don,

There will definitely be a sequel to Daemon -- due sometime in the first half of 2008.  This story was always intended as two books, with the sequel an integral part of the whole.

The title of the second book still has to clear legal, but I'll slap an RSS feed onto the Daemon web site soon to broadcast release information as it becomes available.

www.thedaemon.com

BTW - For those who read Daemon --  have you tried 'Google 411'? (1-800-466-4411)  All I can say is: 'The Voice' lives!

Hi and welcome! The thread on this site generated enough interest for me to order a copy of the book from Amazon, so I guess you'd say you're among friends here   Smiley

I look forward to reading it so I can pitch in some useful comment!

Just finished reading this book after reading the sample chapters on EH-net.

Really liked the book although I thought the ending was a bit tame, but then I jump on the forum to post my thoughts to discover the auther has a sequel in the pipeline for this year, made me all happy inside. Fully recommend it to anyone that hasn't already read it.

This was one of the best books I read and I also got to meet the author @ defcon and get a bite to eat with him. As for the next book his site has this listed:

Look for the Sequel to Daemon in 2008

If you enjoyed Daemon, be sure to look for FreedomTM, coming in late 2008 from Verdugo Press.

So the next book is to be titled "Freedom" and it says "late 2008". I can not wait to read it!

Completely awesome book! There were several places where I found myself pondering how some of this could actually be pulled off. Can't wait for November!
