This is a great read. I started off my CEH track with it. The book really breaks down the subject matter in an easy to understand format.

FYI - Wiley is coming out with a 2nd Edition of Hacking For Dummies in October of this year. Look for a sample chapter soon before the release.

Also, you may find Hacking Wireless Networks for Dummies an interesting read from the same author.
