Thanks for the post. I had this event listed in our Calendar last year, but haven't posted it yet this year. I guess I'll have to get on that.

Any idea on what that means(that they're launching LPT)? Does that mean that they'll just have the courseware out or do you think they'll be holding trainings at that conference?

Info/reply from EC-Council's portal..

Quote
Hi!

EC-Council plans to hold a live class and offer a huge member benefit
to all of it's certified members .

We are planning a class for LPT live at the conference and for only
$1500, the attendees will be able to attend the main conference for
free ! Registrations can be made via Authorized training partners

At the same time, we are hoping to organize a CEH UPDATE class at
the same conference. I.e. if you have a CEH V 2 or 3 or 4, you can
attend a 2 days class and get ready for CEH V 5 exam - ahead of the
new exam retake policy that will be introduced in the months to
come.

That is a benefit of about $1,000 for the attendee as the conference
alone costs about $1,000 in June.

It is going to be a huge opportunity for members to network and
meet over 1,000 other information security professional .....and
enjoy the wonderful sun and beach!

We will be making changes to the certification status (inline with ANSI
rules) and introduce both CPE and exam retake policies.

They are being studied by a committee now and will be announced
ahead of it's implementation.

Jay

That is a pretty sweet deal if this is something you're looking for. Just as he stated, the admission to the conference is just under $1,000. So for paying $1,500 for conference admission and LPT class is incredible! Smiley
