I'm a noob to the site, but I wanted to tip my hat to your article. I had a few folks (that of course did not have the CISSP certification), say that certs are for the HR folks and their resume scanners. But to me the CISSP was a huge accomplishment - not passing the test, but BEING a CISSP. I have the experience, I passed the test for the CBK and I continue my education for 120 CPEs every 3 years. Even with the most cynical view point, that means I am listening to 40 hours of podcasts a year (actually, the CISSP CPE requirement motivated me to write for the OWASP project, get the C|EH, teach a information security class, and think as a professional). Anyhow, thanks for the reprint.
