1  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / ECSA - EC-Council Certified Security Analyst / Re: ECSA/LPT v4 Outline on: September 19, 2012, 09:28:24 PM
Can anyone identify which book from the official courseware covers the first 10 modules of the ECSA exam?
2  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker / Re: C|EH Core Concepts on: August 26, 2012, 08:08:47 PM
Just my thoughts but I don't think anyone has addressed what "core concepts" in fact is.  That aside I think CEH is marketed to much on what it isn't instead of what it is a entry level cert for understanding hacker methodology and the tools/techniques used. For me it got the job done. The experience learning it makes some GIACs a bit more attainable. Personally I think what CEH needs is a practical something like what SANS use to do with their certs.

I actually scheduled the exam through Pearson Vue however the testing was done at military only testing site.  BTW Thanks Ziggy.  Who ever would like to receive the practice test just inbox me.  I forgot what exactly is needed to transfer it but just send me your info and ill hook it up.  I guess whoever hits me first they can have it.

Well hello all, I just took and passed the GCIH today and I must a say it was very challenging. All I had was my copy of Counter Hack Reloaded to get me thru but I survived.  In honor of my recent success I would like to offer a free practice test to a deserving individual.  Although i'm not sure what would be the most appropriate way to do this.  So let's just see who responds.
