3  Features / /root / Re: Linux - You Can Do It! on: September 26, 2007, 01:59:47 AM
I had a quick look through the article. There is some points that i agree and some others that i disagree.
For example Linux was always hot (Linux is hot again. as the author says)!!! : )
Its true that the last years  some distributions they are becoming friendlier to the simple pc user(ubuntu, fedora, suse, etc),they support games, cad applications, video applications, they are extremely easy to install, etc. But still there is some things that they require some experience and some time to work in linux.

In my opinion things are starting to getting better , but it will require some more time before we say that it is as easy in use as windows.

you look for a password in here? Just from a quick look i dont think that there is a password in here but its just an application that it will help you dump the user password from a windows vnc service.

I'll have a closer look tonight and inform you!
cheers mate!

flooding the other web sites is not a solution, in my opinion.
It will be better to try with your server admin to find out what kind of attacks are they using against you and then implement the required defense mechanisms.
Also do not forget that if you can gather required information that it can prove that you have been attacked from this people you can try to follow the legal way (court, etc) which, trust me, its extremely devastating (for them)!!! Especially if you can find a good lawyer !!! ; )
i hope i could help...cheers!!!

In my opinion its a good resource for technical articles, that they are focused in the 'how to' nature of a provided solution. They dont provide too much general knowledge that will help in the development of the 'proper way of thinking' which is required for computer security.
I hope that i could help Smiley
