31  Resources / Mass Media / Daemon (2012) on: January 24, 2010, 04:31:52 PM

Will the movie adaptation to Daniel Suarez novel Daemon be released on 2012? Maybe, according to IMDb. The only info I could find so far is that the movie is in development plus the following data:

Genre:
Thriller

Plot Summary:
"A computer program called DAEMON learns how to operate without the assistance of human interaction".

Writing Credits:
Danel Suarez (novel)

Casts:
Actor: Eli Marienthal (Preston Wright)

Producers:

Laurie MacDonald (producer)
Walter F. Parkes (producer)

Btw, I don't remember any character by the name "Preston Wright" in Daemon.

It's pronounced like the word nebulous but I thought it was cool changing the letters a bit specially the 1 and 0 for the binary system. I'm not sure to stick with the word how it is or add a "u" and have it spelled this way -> nebu10uz, which I think is easier to read. What do you guys think?

Wow!! What a surprise. Today I received a signed copy of Freedom TM courtesy of Daniel Suarez. This was totally unexpected. Dan really does care about his fans. Thanks Dan for the book, I'm really stoked and can't wait to start reading it, oh and to just to let you know, I did pre-ordered mine, I just have to finish The Lost Symbol first.

Basta&^%rd!!

I haven't gotten mine yet. Then again, maybe you have mine seeing as it's an 8GB instead of 4GB. Hmmm... those are some l33t skillz you have there.

Ha ha, very funny. I have been playing with IronKey and I like it, especially that you can unlock the drive in ready-only mode. That alone is worth to get a hold of this flashdrive. I will definitely use IronKey for incident response and removing malware from infected machines.

blackazarro: Do you already know if you have passed?

I don't know yet. I took the test last Saturday and boy it was exhausting. Sitting there for six hours and doing 250 questions is tough and not to say that the questions were tough enough. I basically spent 2 minutes for each question until after 2 to 3 hours into the exam I've noticed I was trailing behind which then I started to speed it up and answered the questions more quickly if I wanted to complete the exam on time.

I've heard that it takes about a month for you to know if you passed the exam so I should get an answer by December. Let see how it goes, cause after taking the exam, I feel that I failed it.

Security+ is a good choice and you should definitely try Offensive Security OSCP, I had a lot fun with that one plus what this course will teach you will stick with you for a long time. Also, after acquiring these, go for the CISSP which is considered a golden standard in information security certification. I'm going to take the CISSP exam this weekend. I haven't studied much because I've been busy lately, but let see how it goes.
