For those who have been wanting to learn more about Metasploit, here's a great opportunity! http://blog.rapid7.com/?p=6357In a couple of weeks, our very own @Mubix (AKA Rob Fuller to those who don’t live their life with an @ sign permanently attached to their name!) will be offering Metasploit-ation for the Nation. Unlike that phrase – which I just made up – Mubix will actually be talking sense as he walks penetration testers through the delightful world of Metasploit Pro in a 4-hour in-depth training session.
Mubix took some time to answer a few questions below to give you a flavor of the training. If you have any additional questions on this, please post them in the comments section below.

One problem I have is when using VM ware if I set it to full screen the menu bar does not re size I have to do it by hand what is a bit of a pain.
Is that with the KDE or Gnome version? I had that same problem with the 64bit KDE version. Click on the yin yang button on the right-side of the bottom panel, click more settings, then click maximize panel. Again, that's for the KDE version. A quick reboot (shutdown -r now) after doing that myself for the first time showed that setting saved through a reboot.

Those quotes were only from one Amazon review. 31 of the 34 current reviews are 5 stars, and I recognize a few of those names from the infosec industry. I've only picked up the book and read through it for about 4hrs while at Barnes and Noble one day, but from what I was able to read it was not as bad as that reviewer made it out to be. Nothing against Kevin Mitnick, but I'd say "very broad, no depth" would apply better to "Art of Deception" when compared to this book.

The other DOS, which comes only with the XP, 2000 and NT operating systems, is cmd.exe. Usually cmd.exe is better than other commands because it is easier to use, has more commands, and in some ways resembles the bash shell in Linux and other Unix-type operating systems. For example, you can repeat a command by using the up arrow until you back up to the desired command. Unlike bash, however, your DOS command history is erased whenever you shut down cmd.exe.
I think the op's referring to "denial of service" apps, not "disk operating system"

I've tried as well, but with no luck so far. Created /etc/init/gdm.conf on BT5, copying its contents from a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 install - didn't work. I then tried editting /etc/default/grub to match what's on the Ubuntu 10.04 install and now BT won't boot up anymore, it just hangs at the splash screen haha.
