1. Are you on-board with what we may have to do?
Yep!

Quote
2. How extensively do you use PMs through our forums?
Not very often. Maybe once every few months and it's usually other people initiating the conversation.

Quote
3. Who's interested in Blogging for EH-Net?
I'd be interested in having the capability, but I honestly wouldn't be blogging all that much.

Quote
4. Who's willing to help test?
If there's a task list to knock out that I could load up when possible during working hours or late at night, sure! I can't commit to anything scheduled though, work's pretty hectic.

Quote
5. Who's willing to possibily help moderate the forums?
While I would love the opportunity to just delete spam threads as I see them, I don't know much time I'd be able to commit to other moderator duties (see above).

Quote
6. Anyone willing to lend a hand who has expertise in PHP, MySQL, design?
If I knew PHP/MySQL, definitely...but I don't Sad

7. Should we implement OpenID, login with Twitter?
I'd support this.

With the exam, what is the timeframe, how long do you have to do it?
7 days to pentest, 7 days to prep your report.

7  Features / Book Reviews / Re: [Article]-Book Review: Violent Python on: March 01, 2013, 12:08:15 PM
Great review! I've already had this one on my wishlist, but I've just bumped it up to #1 as I'm more motivated to get back into Python.
8  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Other / Re: Cyber Challenge Games on: February 26, 2013, 12:11:53 AM
Been slowly working through these as I had time tonight. Here's my progress so far without using the hints:

1 - solved!
2 - solved!
3 - solved!
4 - solved!
5 - ...what?
6 - ...huh?
7 - solved!
8 - Pretty sure I got this one, but I get a 500 error page (instead of a 404?). Source for the page gives the URL for their career page lol
9 - solved!
10 - solved!

These are fun! Curious if anybody is able to get the "you solved it" page for puzzle #8...
9  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / General Certification / Re: SANS Work-Study experience on: February 13, 2013, 09:24:47 AM
- When I look at the course materials, I could probably study 3 weeks part time and pass the exam. This course, although interesting, will not teach me 100% of new materials...

Aside from the out of pocket costs (btw, wow Undecided), this would be the other deciding factor for me. That amount of money when I could benefit more from another course just wouldn't be worth it for me. Maybe if it was a Community event and the travel/lodging costs weren't so high (if you live close enough that you don't need to stay in a hotel, you still get the free cert attempt).

15  EH-Net / Calendar Of Events / Re: SANS 2013 on: January 28, 2013, 11:51:09 AM
@SephStorm - If you live in an area where they have community SANS events, you should look into applying for a facilitator position for those (if you haven't already). You don't get the SANS experience of a large event, store, etc, but you get all the great training without the cost of travel, lodging, etc.  That's what I did Smiley
