Actually, that link will take you to one specific Word document.  And yes, Google is your friend.

36  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Other / Port 22 (SSH) Outbound Question on: April 29, 2010, 02:55:34 PM
Hello all:

I am trying to think of any concerns I might have allowing this port outbound.  We are trying to stay within HIPAA compliance and have this particular server in our HIPAA DMZ.  We only want to allow SSH outbound and will most likely lock it down to a specific IP address range(s).

I don't think this should or will be a concern, but I wanted to get your collective thoughts and think of anything evil that could crop up and I know you all won't let me down on that.   Tongue

Thanks all in advance!

The library is definitely the way to go.  This way, you don't waste any money investing in books if it isn't for you.

Yeah, this would stink to have to deal with.  It could potentially happen to any AV solution and am glad I am not going through it right now.

Geez, give the guy a break.  Business plan?  All he/she needs is curiosity and passion.  The rest will follow.  GL TH
It was a legitimate question/suggestion/piece of advice.  If this person wants others to join some sort of venture then a business plan is paramount.

Welcome to the forums by the way!
42  Resources / News from the Outside World / RIAA and MPAA call for government mandated spyware on computers to fight piracy on: April 17, 2010, 02:02:34 PM
I have no idea if this is true or not, but this is not ethical whatsoever and I don't think this will fly at all.  It is at least worth discussing though I think.

WOW!  I'd say a couple of them would do the trick.  I will have to demo it and see what pricing is like.

Sweet....I will take a gander at that.  I appreciate that.

Well, Splunk has been scrapped.  The cost is too high for us to use and I will have to find a clever way to do this and am thinking I may leverage what I already have internally.  Thanks for the help as always!
