ROLE OVERVIEW:
Title: Software Test Engineers (Specialising in Security & QA)
Designation: Software Security Specialist
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or similar)
Essential Skills: Software development skills with an understanding of Secure SW development life cycle, Capable of achieving UK Government Security clearance
Minimum Experience: 2 yrs.
Job Tenure: Successful applicants will be expected to become certified as security specialists over a 3 year period and maintain certification every 3 years

Job Location: Banbury - United Kingdom
Key Accountabilities Design and develop Strategy for defined functional and non-functional test types to Analyze the Software Under Test and other project artifacts against authored Test Plans, familiar with ccommercial development methodologies
Provide static analysis on project artifacts to help validate functional specifications and design documentation against product and project requirements
Provide estimates for all phases of the Secure STLC for the Software Under Test
Execute the Test Plan against the Software/Hardware Under Test to agreed timescales
Implement automated tests in accordance with the Test Strategy, recommending improvements for both efficiency and security of the platforms under test
Report test progress for all test activities for the Software/Hardware Under Test to the Software Test Manager and to the development community
Provide technical support for R&D/Manufacturing products, processes, systems or tooling
To include design verification, code development analysis, documentation development, threat and vulnerability testing, security calibration, software/hardware troubleshooting and/or preventative maintenance
Configuration management developing the processes used to control, coordinate, and track: code, requirements, documentation, problems, change requests, designs, tools/compilers/libraries/patches, changes made to them, and who makes the changes
Requirements:
Professional with excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in project planning, process development and risk assessment
At least 3 years software development and testing experience in information and process security testing with skills in Internet, Communications, Wireless and physical security
Experienced at working with automated test tools i.e. Fortify, Purify etc.
Ability to work effectively under strict time constraints and customer deadlines
Must have a 'test to break' attitude, with the ability to take the point of view of the customer, a strong desire for quality, and attention to detail specializing in Vulnerability Assessments & Penetration Tests
Excellent understanding of modelling concepts such as UML and object oriented design and development
Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years related experience
