 Cry

Looks like I'm going to have to cancel now.  I just converted from being a contractor to a full-time employee...to keep my position, I needed to do so, but it meant a HEFTY pay cut (supposedly made up for in benefits).  I also don't get to use any personal or vacation time for 90 days.

My wife has convinced me that it would be in the best interest of our bank account if I put it off again.  I'm going to start putting away a little cash each paycheck so this doesn't happen again.

Have fun guys, and keep an eye out on the Riviera's site, as my room will become available shortly.  Sad

I'm really curious about this program, too.  I spoke with a recruiter last year and it sounded really promising.  Unfortunately, I've got to wait a bit yet as my wife just started her second semester of her Master's degree.

That's vista for ya. Never made it out of beta, never will.

Jason,

It's well documented through several other posts by iSmith that there is nothing wrong with Vista  Wink

I have a feeling that I may have just started some trouble  Grin

I was thinking of investing in something more along THESE lines:

This article on Wired, published two days ago has quite a rating on Digg.  Yet it's nothing new.

Cloning RFID cards is something that's been discussed on this site as well as many others, and was shown on a recent episode of Tiger Team.

"Why is this news?" you may ask.  My question is "Why isn't it in the mainstream news?"  I keep seeing commercials on TV for "Speed Pass" this and "EZ Pass" that, with credit cards and the like.  Average Joe just isn't being informed enough of the dangers associated it.

Is the convenience of it taking one second to wave your card in front of the reader as opposed to the one and a half seconds to swipe the mag strip really worth it?

OK, I admit I'm a little cranky because my wife just decided to "upgrade" to RFID credit cards for us because it "looked cool on the commercial."  sigh Roll Eyes

I was under the impression that by subscribing to their service, you were in essence giving them power of attorney.  In such case, this would NOT be illegal...however, it may be ill-advised.  I, being the suspicious mind that I am, have issues with even giving a car dealership temporary power of attorney to act on my behalf with the Motor Vehicle Administration.

I was lucky enough as well, to have the opportunity for a boot camp leading up to the exam.  We may have been in the same one, or taken the it with the same instructor, because mine gave the same advice.  After class on Friday, I drove to Reston Town Center and treated myself to dinner and a glass of wine at Morton's Steak House.

I then proceeded to have a surprisingly good sleep, woke up for some Tai Chi (that's the clue to my instructor), and nailed the exam.

Of course I had spent the previous six months or so reading the books and hanging out on cccure.  Clement's the man!

It's been my impression, though I am a bit newer to this field than many of you, that for an organization to employ the use of keyloggers, it must be done across the entire operation.  Otherwise, not only will the evidence be inadmissible in court, but the company opens itself up to litigation.

I could be wrong, but that's the way I've always understood it.
