2  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Hardware / What Equipment Should I get For Hacking on: January 23, 2012, 07:16:24 AM
I posted a previous thread and a netbook isnt enough since it cant run virtual machine.

I am a student so I got some cost constraints.

Apparently, I can only do wireless hacking with my own router.

What equipment do you currently have and do you have any suggestions? (switch, hub, another computer?)
3  Resources / Career Central / Where To Hack For Money and is a netbook enough on: January 20, 2012, 06:47:39 AM
I downloaded backtrack 5 for hacking.
They advised me to hack virtual machine for practice.
However, I am owning a sole netbook and that is close to impossible.

Can anyone give me any viable suggestions?
Also, does anyone know where I can hack legally for money?
Experimenting with cracking wireless is all I have done so far.
4  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Other / I Need Money And Experience on: May 18, 2011, 04:22:33 AM
Not sure if this is supposed to go here but anyway..

I just got my CCNA Cisco Certified Network Associate and I want to be a hacker at least part time. I wish to earn some side income. What should I do next.

Are there any site where one can hack for profit legally?
5  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Wireless / Question On Sniffing MSN Conversation Using Wireshark on: August 02, 2010, 05:11:41 AM
I know that MSN uses tcp port 1683 and that using wireshark I get the protocol as MSNMS.

Sniffing packets is one thing but is there any way I can reconstruct the messages that are sent from one party to another?

Or are there better tools available that can do this job?

Wireshark only seem to display the start and final destination IP and the protocol.

Anyway, any wireshark tutorials?
