As well as the police, contact the ISP, the person doing those things is against their TOS.

I am having trouble understanding you. This should be your computer, not someone elses. You ought be able to turn off the firewall on your test computer.

Re-install XP on a computer, turn off the firewall, and try out the exploit I mentioned.

Try using the ms08-067_netapi exploit. Turn off firewall on the RHOST

Have you tried that code? I wouldn't recommend it, only test on a virtual box you wouldn't mind losing

Lincoln,

What was your profiency level before taking the class?
What was your linux comfort level?
How long did you take to get the hang of the course?

Good stuff

Hi Delano,

I didn't know much about BactTrack or pen testing before starting this class. I lurked on their forums for about 6 months before signing up. I had some nix experience from college, but my job was in a windows based environment.

The course took me a couple hundred hours to complete. I say that because I did lots of outside reading/research pertaining to the class. Best advice I could give would be go for the extended lab time! There are so many things to do in their lab, I wish I had more time to try things out  Cheesy.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback  Grin

Liked it. Wink
It would be nice to offer it for direct download though.

Here is a download link for now: http://www.4shared.com/file/114000738/dbc25daa/finalmovie.html

I am working on getting a site up, once I do, I will come back and edit my post.

nice music, too small to see anything else though

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the compliment about the music, hard to find something that lasts the whole video. There is an option on the corner of the player to switch to full screen which makes it viewable if its viewed on flv on Blip's site.

I am thinking I might host it for a site that I am putting up soon. If I do, I will put the link back here with a better resolution.  Cheesy

This video is sort of a reflection of some of the tools and ideas that I personally learned after taking the Offec Course. Excellent course, highly recommend.

Summary of video: network surveying -> enumeration -> exploit developement -> priv escalation
