i dont think we should vote to remove this post.
Well, it is an good example for other members, only if they see this post here without any replies to exploit the games or the codes and hardvibes did already apologize for asking the question.
There are millions out there who dont understand the basic difference between a hacker and the craker. So when we get questions like this, its an opportunity for us to educate them that v r hackers, ethical hackers and not blackhats.

Hey fellas, Anyone seen the latest flick Diehard 4.0 and Swordfish (starring John Travolta and H. Berry) ? Ofcourse many must have seen them. Some scenes is these movies are mindblowing. Can 1 person do all this? Is it really possible in todays world, to take control of the such big network with just a laptop? What configuration will u need on da laptop man. A 5 GB RAM and some 2-3 dual core processors i guess. And also Italian Job on the line. Click here for more info. Its just for your humour. Nothing interesting !

man you're logged into EH.net this place is full of information and useful resources but dont misuse them. if you want to use the neighbor's network only to go online, that's OK. But dont intrude in his privacy. Try to find out the manufaturer of the AP, your neighbor uses. That helps. Cause the only way your neighbor will know that you're using his network is thru the DHCP client list. And if you assign a static IP Address to the wireless adapter, you wont have to rely on his DHCP. Thats the reason, if you get to know the manufacturer it will be very useful. If its a Linksys router, you can use an IP Address of the range : 192.168.1.x (x= 2 to 255). If its Netgear, try 192.168.0.x. And so on. Try Airsnort. Click here for more info on airsnort.

Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker / Re: CEH Recertification (valid for 2 years)
|
on: July 25, 2007, 03:45:16 PM
|
Even if I WANTED to recertify, there is no place near me to do the exam. The place where I originally passed the exam, does not offer the exam. The school where I did my class has NEVER even offered the exam. If I want to recertify, I'm looking at LEAST a 2 hour drive. And I don't pass exams on the first time. Then again how different is the new exam from the one that I did back in Dec. 04??? Maybe they could just do an exam with the new questions covering the "new" material we need to know, and they could also (maybe) drop the price of the exam a little? Yeah, Right. but for CEH certification it covers more the approach and techniques the crackers use. It has nothing to do with the latest cracks (except for the tools). CEH aint need recertification.

Wonderful domentation I should say.
Now my opinions :
Regarding hands on practice, why not try on a network which is already estblished and it'll be a great experience if you try it on a secured network. Believe me, its tuff and annoying as hell. You tend to move to a comfort zone, if you are trying things on your own netwok. Im not saying that you shouldnt create a network, but breaking into networks and coming out without leaving any evidence behind is like a job done.
Now about getting involved, its really good to socialise. You know many new things and the usage and ur always updated. But again, "If you are a good hacker, everybody knows you, If you're a great hacker, nobody knows who you are".
The documentation is really good. I appreciate the references in some resources as well.
Keep up the good work.
