Hi everyone,
I am starting to look to take on a bit more travel and security engagements. I would like more full pen testing to include physical access as well. I prefer to work on a team, but can work independently as well. An added benefit I have is that I can cover my own airfare.
I am located in Houston, but like I side willing to travel as long as it is for short engagements. Please PM me if you are hiring or have questions related to hiring me, all others can just respond to the thread. Thanks!

willguibr: It is funny that you mentioned that, it never bothered me, but I did notice all the she/her. I realize the author is a female, but I think it is funny how much I noticed it, and I have to think the reason has to be because there is hardly any female security analysts. Heck, I can honestly say I don't know a single one personally.
I will agree this is a must have book. You can buy it so cheap off Amazon, and when I took the CISSP all I used was this book. Mostly read the whole thing, then took the test. Took me about 4 days, and I passed just fine. (yes granted I had years of experience)

When you guys get the book can you tell me if there are many pictures or diagrams? I know it sounds stupid but I travel a lot so would rather get the kindle edition, but those are a pain if there are a lot of diagrams and pics.
Thanks

On my 'to-do' list, but time, time, time.....
Man i hear you, I saw this one was coming the day of the two week mark (where you still get the discount) so I signed up that day. Then finally got around to studying around monday with the test on saturday. My wife can attest to me being a stress case, current security tools and methods I wasn't concerned about, but development stuff I was really out of the loop. I am SOOO glad it is done.

Congrats. I'll be taking it in a few weeks myself.
Not to give away more more than I am supposed to, but UNLIKE the website tests and study material I have seen, there are NO "Which does NOT belong" questions. I heard they were phasing them out, and they did, cause there wasn't a single one. Everything was "Which would BEST" question.

This con is honestly going to be the con of the year for me, maybe the decade. The line up is a Who's Who of my twitter feed, and all around an amazing set of guys. We have developers from the Backtrack group, the guy that runs Shmoocon, Metasploit guys, SET guy, it just goes on and on. This is going to be a good time, and should sell out quick!

I ended up buying it from Amazon last week, and WOW! We have all spent money on tech books and got this overprices flimsy 100 page book in the mail, that is not the case here. It was only around $45 on Amazon, and I feel like I honestly just got $45 worth of paper alone before it was even printed on. The book is close to 1300 pages and is massive! I have started going through it, mostly just a slight review, but it is actually a pretty decent read so far.

Hey guys, not sure of any fellow EHNs that made it out, but i have made it back from Shmoocon. It always takes a day or so to get back to normal life, but it is so fun to get out there and catch up in person with people you mostly talk to on Twitter/IRC/IM.
Firstly I will say that I LOVE Shmoocon, and think it is one of, if not the best, conference out there. I will sadly say this year I was not really excited about many of the talks. There were some neat things, but all the talks on the Android platform was annoying. Not to mention that there are very few talking spots, so multiple printer talks should not have happened either.
All and all it was a great time as always. Met some new people, caught up with others, and learned some new things. Hard to complain about a con that is that cheap, yet you are always sad to leave on the last day.
If anyone else did make it out there I would love to hear your thoughts.
