1  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / OSCP - Offensive Security Certified Professional / Re: Class Scheduled 6/8 - Linux n00b on: Yesterday at 11:45:54 PM
takes time to learn Linux, keep going, eventually you will see some applications in Linux and all your knowledge will show up in your mind, you will feel you are flying....

it takes sometime to learn pentest, it is constant process until became familiar.

Use tools, build your own lab, practice attacking a server in your lab/or other lab, etc, etc.

Remember learn to walk before running, so keep learning the base, CEH is a good knowledge, but the other training mention here are good to really acquire skills.

Let me tell you Armando, I took the first version and always got the feeling for more labs and a little deep inline with the lecture, now you guys got that.

I like the lab by hours, no expiration. That's good, you concentrate to master some knowledge and confirm it with LAB, good.

8  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / General Certification / CEH exam simulation on: April 24, 2013, 04:46:52 PM
Guys

What exam simulation is better the Ucertify.com or Boson.com?

I've been studying on and off including the OSCP (I did not attempt the exam yet), so material is not the issue.

I got the first version of the training in your site, is it going to be a price for upgrading?

11  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Network Pen Testing / Re: HackaServer - Anyone tried it? on: April 12, 2013, 10:33:48 AM
I tested the training area only, there a lot of virtual machines that the users created and leave it without any configuration, only ssh.

I never attempt the certification to begin to get paid for the attacks.

13  Resources / Career Central / Re: noob here looking for some help! on: March 30, 2013, 10:47:08 PM
You can go in any direction, it is depend of your knowledge. Just begin with a couple of tools.

I like to begin with dictionary attack again a machine, later you can use metasploit, with that you have a lot of fun and time consuming.

Later you will begin to learn about methodologies (those are good), more tools, attacking vector, other exploits, etc, etc.

In the beginning everybody is a script kiddy, lol

Use/buy the tool that help you to do the job in the right way plus you feel comfortable use it.

I do not know, normally I prefer one general list and one specific list like sport, hobbies, etc, etc.
