Thanks for sharing. I've only had quick look through it, but I intend to read through the whole thing when I get the time.

I think it's also worth mentioning that the official release is a result of a Freedom of Information Act request.

7  Ethical Hacking Discussions and Related Certifications / Network Pen Testing / Re: Elearnsecurity new Web App security course info on: May 02, 2013, 10:23:43 AM
Wow, we seriously had the most busy days of our company's history!
Anyway, let's answer some questions from current students:
1) 50% OFF for the eCPPT Gold voucher expired yesterday
2) 50% OFF for the WAPT course will expire on May 31st

I wished I would have waited longer to sign up. I figured the 30% offered during the WAPT launch event would have been the best offer I could get.

The 50% off offer is for existing eLearnSecurity students.

I've been unable to get a response from Armando, and don't know when my 50% coupon code(for being eCCPT silver) runs out. His original email says May 30, but I had a feeling he may mean April 30th.

Given the launch of the new course, I'd imagine Armando is having a rather busy time at the moment.

The 50% coupon expires May 30th, it gives you a month to get the course.

There appears to be some confusion over this from other sources I've seen, this question has also been asked on the eLearnSecurity student forums, but hasn't been replied to yet.

I received two e-mails, the first specified May 30th as a deadline, the second mentioned no deadline.

There is a webinar in a few weeks by Joe McCray that might also be of interest to you: http://strategicsec.com/2013/04/10/so-you-wanna-be-a-pentester-free-webinar-to-show-you-how/

However, I'd be surprised if it didn't align with the advice already offered on this site.

In addition to Violent Python, have you considered the SecurityTube Python Scripting Expert course?

I've no experience of 1Password, so was interested to see what it offered. Whilst looking into it I came across this article: http://arstechnica.com/security/2013/04/yes-design-flaw-in-1password-is-a-problem-just-not-for-end-users/

In summary, if use 1Password with a strong master password you'll be ok.

Based on what I've read so far I'd still use it, just thought the article might be of interest to some others.

However, someone pointed out that is only the case for surfing the Internet, and may not apply to other things you'd do online (e.g. Email, FTP, Chatting, etc.)

From WiTopia, what wont work over the vpn .
