1  Resources / Tools / How can i delete sunbelt dill files on: December 09, 2008, 02:40:52 AM
Huh I am trying to delete some Sunbelt files I and I keep getting these two error messages
(access denied make sure that the disc is not full or write protected). Cannot delete file cannot read source)

Tried to see if I had any sun belt programs in add or remove file did not find any also went
in to explorer and changed my option to bring up hidden files still nothing, tried deleing these dell files in safe mode nothing

Could a Sunbelt program be under a different name because I don’t have any in my C drive
or anywhere in my system like for example Sunbelt firewall or anti whatever.

The Reason why I need to delete these files is because they are fighting with my
new kasprsky anti virus. Is there any way I can delete these files or find the Sunbelt program so I could uninstall it?

Here are the test results from kasprsky on the files I need to get rid of.

2  Resources / Tools / Re: how can i find out if my 8GB PNY attache usb drive supports booting on: September 02, 2008, 07:45:56 PM
the answer to your question is probably on the BT forum but any U3 drive will for sure be bootable even though any fairly new USB stick "should" work too
so its posible that the usb drive i have is bad and not the way i set it up? i only ask because i did every thing that  3 or more tut said to do and i still kept getting an error msg
3  Resources / Tools / how can i find out if my 8GB PNY attache usb drive supports booting on: September 02, 2008, 06:08:27 PM
I have a PNY attache 8GB flash drive i tried installing back track 3 on it
I know i fallowed the tut correctly also went in to bios and changed the boot order
so it boots of USB but i still got a "boot error" msg

then i found out that it can also be the flash drive it's self so, went to there web site and found nothing.
called there 1800 number found out that it was a complete wast of time.

what i want to know is were can i find if this flash drive supports booting, or if any one can recommend me a good
bootable flash drive?

I read the tut on how to install BT3 on USB but it still wont boot up when
I reset.
this is what i did when i started, i formatted my USB to fat 32 then downloaded "WinRAR" extracted BT3 to desktop dragged BT3 to USB
run command prompt typed in L: then cd boot then bootinst.bat "enter" "enter"
it tells me that the boot install was complete but it wont boot up

also when i type in L: for my USB drive nothing comes up just L:\> i saw this video tut and when he did it,it showed him what was in his drive.

Am i doing something wrong or did i leave a cmd out?

what do i do if my hard drive dose not come up,when i type in "mount"
this is what i get when i type in "qtparted"   ( warning: unable to open
/dev/hda/  read-only file system. /dev/hda has been opened read only)
12  Resources / Tools / Re: how can i install back track 3 to my second hard drive cant find the option on: August 26, 2008, 08:47:50 PM
so do the instructions still apply to me if i am using a second hard drive
because i am under the assumption  that parting was making space in my old HD or am i just dumb and that means something else, because that's the part that i can't figure out
