thank you that answered my question on MAC filtering and i knew wep is outdated. but i also want to know about the SSID broadcast. i know there are programs out there that can bypass that but is that another way to discourage the casual passer by? or can it be stronger than that?

I was doing some reading on 802.11 security, I am fairly new at this EH stuff, but I came across this.

im basically just trying to hack my own wireless. ive got it secured with wpa2 and encrypted with aes. ive heard it can be can done buts its not easy
