Hi all,

I am pretty new here so wanted to do little post about me and maybe get some feedback from you.

I am curently doing a degree in Information Technology but I have always been intrested in Security and have been for many years trying to get more into Security with little or no sucess.

Since finding this site I fill I am slowily progressing, at the moment I cant really do any security Exams becasue or uni work but plan after my Degree to do the C|EH.

I think this is the best place to start but in the mean time I am doing a lot of research into EH and finding tools of the trade so to speak. I have got an old laptop what I plan to connect to my wirless network, so I can mess about with running port scans on it and just general messing about with software I have heard about.

I just really wanted any advice, am I heading in right direction or should I be taking another approach ?

is the C|EH best place to start?

Thanks in advance Wink

I never had any problems with it but I do get people saying well its free so its crap. I just wanted other people option on what viruse software they think is best.
