Title: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on December 30, 2012, 03:59:25 PM Hi everyone,
I have been a member of EH.net for almost 3 years now. I have "known" some people here for quite some time now. But I have only met an handful of you guys so far at conferences (alucian, ajohnson, Don, and another one I forgot the name...). I know Don lives in Chicago and personally, I am from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. So I am curious, where are you from? We should create a EH.net map from people around the world. But maybe Don could do just that, based on our IP addresses... Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: SecurityMonkey on December 30, 2012, 05:37:10 PM Hey! I am from Brisbane Australia...

Post by: H1t M0nk3y on December 31, 2012, 02:12:46 PM @ajohnson: Look at chrisj's answer on this thread and at his profile and you'll understand why... ;)
Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: m0wgli on December 31, 2012, 02:31:53 PM I'm from England.
Why don't you just write a script to harvest the "location" field from everyone's profile? ;) In addition, a whois query on the website field. ;) Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: hayabusa on December 31, 2012, 02:34:54 PM That would assume that the website field is populated.
Remember, the original purpose ajohnson referred to, for suggesting a script, was to create a map of user locations for members. If specific data doesn't exist, it can't used in order for the user to be mapped. But technically, that would also include the same for the location field... Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: ajohnson on December 31, 2012, 03:12:04 PM Thanks a lot chrisj, way to ruin my brilliant plan...
Seriously though, I like where m0wgli is going with this. Lets all try to determine the most creative way to dox each other. Where's Jason at? 8) Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on December 31, 2012, 03:58:49 PM Oh man, that could be nasty! ;D
Too bad I don't have time for this now... I am still working on my Web Service scanner project. I made good progress lately, but I have invested way to much time in this so far. So I don't feel like writing another script right now (although it's tempting...) ;) Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: chrisj on December 31, 2012, 10:44:54 PM Thanks a lot chrisj, way to ruin my brilliant plan... I live to make grown men cry. :) Didn't even know I left that field empty. Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: impelse on December 31, 2012, 11:38:40 PM Houston, you know guys: "Houston we have a problem"
Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: don on January 01, 2013, 01:10:54 AM Or how about a group social engineer? No one can win an EH-Net Giveaway Prize unless they... fill in the blank.
This time it could be 'where are you from' and next time it could be whatever I want. <evil>Mwoo ha ha</evil> Don Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: hayabusa on January 01, 2013, 08:44:51 AM LOL! Happy New Year!!
Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on January 01, 2013, 07:12:20 PM @impelse: I was in Houston last October!! Too bad, we could have had a beer together...
@Don: A social engineering challenge could be a good idea. But it has to be "legal". So where is the line? (I personally couldn't care less) Happy New Year !! Title: Re: Where are you from? (I personally couldn't care less) @H1tM0nk3y Don't worry about that charge for the 15 magazines to your credit card. It was a women's Swedish volleyball door to door charity subscription. :) Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on January 02, 2013, 09:59:25 AM lol
But what about the 5 gallon pale of Viagra pills on my credit card? Was it you too? ;D Title: Re: Where are you from? I know what some of you are thinking and YES, we have computers in Mississippi!!! ;D ;D ;D We sometimes even wear shoes. Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: 3xban on January 06, 2013, 08:52:53 AM Greater Hartford area, Connecticut. Happy New Year all!

Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on January 07, 2013, 06:58:50 AM Quote We sometimes even wear shoes. For me in Canada, there's currently 2 feet of snow outside. So we don't walk bare foot too often! ;D Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: ziggy_567 on January 07, 2013, 04:13:35 PM Quote For me in Canada, there's currently 2 feet of snow outside. Funny thing is if you accumulate all the snow that's fallen my entire life in Mississippi, it probably would just barely be 2 feet of snow. On an unrelated but uncanny note, I'm in Toronto with a foot or so of snow on the ground at the moment. Title: Re: Where are you from? Post by: H1t M0nk3y on January 07, 2013, 05:04:20 PM Once, about 20 years ago, we received 4 feet of snow in one day. Even if we are used to winter, it took 3 days before our street got cleaned out!! We were riding a snow mobile on the highway... ;D
@ziggy_567: I am only 4 hours away from Toronto. Too bad it's not closer.
