Post by: SephStorm on June 27, 2012, 11:57:14 AM I dont know if anyone listens to this podcast, but I wanted to download them, starting with the first episodes, unfortunately they appear to be hosted on http://hydrogen.oshean.org which has apparently restricted access to they hydrogen site :( i dont know if anyone knows anyone on the PDC team, who can resolve the isue, or who simply has some of the older episodes and can host them for DL?

at the bottom of the page: PaulDotCom Security Weekly - Episode 1 - Oct 27, 2005 We recorded the first episode of "PaulDotCom Security Weekly", our new podcast. It was recorded last night at SANS LA and we talked about: - Oracle Password vulnerabilities - Nokia smartphone worms - Botnets - FBI Romanian hacking case - Terrorism and improvised explosives - And much more! This episode was sponsored by Core Security - an outstanding penetration testing tool. Direct Download I promise future episodes will have show notes and be available via iTunes and other podcast sources. Bear with us as we put it all together :) (Thanks to our other sponsor, OSHEAN, for providing the bandwidth) The direct download link goes to http://hydrogen.oshean.org/pauldotcom-SW-episode1.mp3 Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: chrisj on June 28, 2012, 08:28:50 AM Wow that's an old page. But looks like they got things changed and re-done since then.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: 3xban on June 28, 2012, 08:50:29 PM I believe most of the episodes are still available on iTunes as well. As for the show, its a good time. They moved the time to an earlier slot and I keep missing the live stream.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: chrisj on June 29, 2012, 01:33:27 AM I pick up some stuff when listening to it, but really the drunken part is over done. Where I first learned of maltego and some other tools.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: 3xban on June 29, 2012, 02:59:24 PM I heard there is some Rats and Rogues podcast I should check out :D Actually I started listening but haven't been keeping up. Maybe I will catch up over the weekend while I butcher the plantlife around the house.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: chrisj on June 29, 2012, 05:18:13 PM LOL... There are only a hand full of those episodes, unless you count all the Bsides stuff. Shouldn't take too long.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: SephStorm on July 01, 2012, 12:03:25 PM Im goin to start out with GRC Security now, while working my way through some Hak5 episodes, work some esxi and server 2008 r2 practice and hopefully ill be better prepared for whatever comes next year.
Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: tturner on July 02, 2012, 01:25:57 PM I'd take what you hear on GRC Security Now with a grain of salt.
http://attrition.org/errata/charlatan/steve_gibson/ My picks are: http://exoticliability.libsyn.com/ http://www.isdpodcast.com/ http://www.pauldotcom.com/ Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: 3xban on July 03, 2012, 11:54:43 AM I lost alot of interesting in GRC as well as Techguy. Steve Gibson just likes to promote his latest piece of software and they hardly ever went into decent details on the latest threats. It was mostly education of the consumer rather than the professional.
+1 to Exotic, ISD and PDC. I also enjoy the Network Security Podcast from time to time. Title: Re: pauldotcom SW? Post by: SephStorm on July 07, 2012, 06:54:50 AM thanks for the heads up.
