Can anyone send me a good tutorial on creating strong wordlists for dictionary attacks?

Go through the JTR documentation for learning how to generate (brute-force) and mangle passwords in word lists.: http://www.openwall.com/john/doc/

If you need something higher-level, you can probably find John/JTR or general password cracking information on Security Tube.

password profiling tools like WYD, CUPP will help to make a custom password list against a target.
