Title: Overview of New CISSP Domains Effective January 1, 2012
Post by: don on February 03, 2012, 10:50:04 AM
Some changes have been made to the CISSP by (ISC)2. Here are some highlights and links to further documentation:

Here's a short white paper on the Domain Name Changes (https://www.isc2.org/uploadedFiles/Credentials_and_Certifcation/About_Our_Credentials_and_Process/CIB%20white%20paper2.pdf).

And a PDF of a presentation with more details (https://www.isc2.org/uploadedFiles/Credentials_and_Certifcation/About_Our_Credentials_and_Process/2012-CIB-Updates.pdf) on the changes that became effective January 1, 2012. In short, professional work experience stays at five years, but the domains have been modified in the following ways:

• One domain name change
• Domain order re-arranged for educational material
• Rewording of some domain subheadings plus new material

Hope this helps,

How is this going to effect study material?  I notice the 6th edition of Shon Harris' AIO book isn't due out until November.

V10 is the current CBK product. Any approved ISC2 study guides will offer the most current study and prep based on the new and updated information.

Anyone can write a book on ten domains, but to know what is on the test is what makes the difference between approved ISC2 books vs any other random help book.
