i dont know why but my backtrack 5 dvd can be boot with a virtual machine properly but when i want to boot it from my pc its not working i mean the graphical objects its not showen pretty well anyway my question is how to perform a wrieless pentest with windows seven only i googled it handred times i found a software "commview for WiFi" but when i install the required driver, my system is crash with a blue screen error and i have no idea about it do you know some other apps thath can help me? please help me thank you!!!! Aircrack, Kismet run on Linux. Linux also has a very good support(drivers) for vast number of wireless cards.
Windows is not piece of cake but some notable wireless networks penetration tools that I know are: Network Stumbler a.k.a NetStumbler – This Windows based tool easily finds wireless signals being broadcast within range inSSIDer is an free Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows Vista and Windows XP. It's a very active community and some there have had similar problems.
