Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: 3xban on November 23, 2011, 07:51:31 AM Many of the books out there have been written by our peers and mentors. When one of us publish something we all support their work by either promoting it or picking up a legitimate copy or both. These guys work hard at doing their real job and take the time out to educate the rest of us. Also many of the good books are not too badly priced. 20-30 bucks. Case and point the Metasploit book from Dave Kennedy is down to 27 bucks from 50 bucks.
Anyway yeah certainly think before your post. Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: millwalll on November 23, 2011, 10:21:48 AM cant agree with your more 3xban I know you are new mignight but please remember this is ethical site.
Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: midnight monster on November 23, 2011, 11:35:44 AM I know this Forum is legal and i think my post is legal too because im not the owner of insecure.in and the admin most care about copy right rules not me you can find it in google any where if you think
this is ilegal go tell the web site admin and as i think they know about copy rights and 3xban if you written any of the books the stroy is diffrent but if you dont , you must know i created this post for beginners like me not you man :-[ Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: hayabusa on November 23, 2011, 11:39:52 AM The relevant term is 'ethical.' Your post may be legal, because you are simply talking about it, not running the site. But sharing copyrighted materials is also unethical. That's the point we're making.
We don't condone, nor like to discuss, that type of thing. Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: n3r on November 23, 2011, 12:50:33 PM people can download the pdf if they have bought the book before, but i doubt it's the case.
Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: midnight monster on November 23, 2011, 01:27:43 PM You doubt about what n3r?
Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: eth3real on November 23, 2011, 01:40:43 PM n3r is referring to people who have purchased the book are theoretically entitled to a digital copy. I say theoretically because that's a grey area. If the publisher provides the digital copy, or if you scan it yourself, it's usually fine. You are not, however, permitted to redistribute that digital copy. That's the key element in this discussion; the owner of that site is illegally distributing these digital copies.

Title: Re: Free hacking ebooks Post by: don on November 29, 2011, 09:28:44 AM Thanks to all EH-Netters that keep us on the right path.
@midnight monster - No judgments. If this is what you choose to do, that's your choice. There are other places for that. We just don't do that here. Also, be careful of the thought process that makes you think forum posters are not responsible. Plenty of cases out there where the host is not held responsible but the one who posts or uploads is. Thanks for your other contributions in our forums. I look forward to more. Don
