Title: EC-Council Certified CISO Post by: BillV on September 29, 2011, 07:02:58 AM EC-Council has recently launched the new C|CISO certification (Certified Chief Information Security Officer).
To quote the website: Quote The C|CISO certification recognizes an individual’s accumulated skills in developing and executing an information security management in alignment with organizational goals. Achieving a C|CISO Certification will differentiate you from others in the competitive ranks of senior IS Professionals. C|CISO will provide your employers with the assurance that as a C|CISO certified executive leader, you possess the proven knowledge and experience to plan and oversee IS for the entire corporation. Now through September 2012, they are offering a 'grandfathering' program where no exam is required - just the application process for those that meet the experience requirements. For more information, check the website below. https://www.eccouncil.org/ciso/ If you're interested in applying, that process and information can be found here: https://www.eccouncil.org/ciso/?page_id=41 Title: Re: EC-Council Certified CISO Post by: SephStorm on October 05, 2011, 08:06:17 AM Not a fan of this. >:( EC-Council needs to focus on fixing the current problems with its flagship and lower tier certifications, and its relationship with its members; rather than pushing another cash cow for an area that already has plenty of representation.

I agree, if you already have CISSP, CISA and/or CISM, why would you bother with another cert? It won't be recognize for years, if ever. EC-Council is probably aiming long term with this one, but I agree, they could put their efforts somewhere else...
