Post by: millwalll on February 15, 2011, 12:40:56 PM
Hello fellow EH,

I think I am nearly ready to take this exam I just wanted to ask do I need to contact them to tell them or do they contact me ? Also from what I have read there is part about attacking WPA do they supply a word list ? or is there a recommended one to have ?

thanks
Jamie

You probably contact them. For the OSCP it was challenges@offsec.com.

There are a few wordlists in the /pentest/passwords/wordlists/ directory......even one called "WPA"

Would the wordlists in Backtrack 5 be just fine or does it matter? ???

Agoonie,

they'll give you a dict list to use on the exam.

If you've worked all the labs, you should be in good shape for the exam.

Thanks for the heads up.  Wasn't sure how that was handled.  Plus I know I will be installing BT5 R1 when it comes out tomorrow.   ;D

@Agoonie are you aware that the exam will be on a BT3 machine?

Looking at the date you posted you'd already taken your exam... :-D

LOL. Yeah I took it recently.  I was aware and figured it would be fine to study using R1.  I had BT3 loaded in VMware so I could take a look at how it looked with the ALFA card also.  It was a great course and exam.
