Security Engineer

As a Sr Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, building and configuring security systems to protect the Facebook infrastructure.

Responsibilities

    * Work with other teams to develop the security road-map that covers the infrastructure including the workstations, network, servers and applications
    * Assess the security of the core infrastructure and take a hands on role in building solutions
    * Define configuration standards for system and network devices to harden them against attacks
    * Consult on new infrastructure projects or architecture changes and evaluate security needs
    * Support the Security Operations team by designing and implementing infrastructure to aid incident response efforts

Requirements

    * BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    * Strong general security background
    * Expert knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Mac
    * Programming and scripting experience in Python, Shell, Perl, C, PHP or Java
    * Experience with networking, cryptography, PKI, authentication systems and logging infrastructure
    * Ability to see the big picture and provide security subject-matter expertise
